Visit to the Metsä Board mill in Simpele

We have just returned from an inspiring visit to the @metsagroup mill in Simpele, Finland.

It was a highly valuable experience filled with insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and a unique opportunity to see the entire packaging material journey — from the forest, through the mill, to the final board.

One of the most important aspects of the visit was experiencing sustainability in practice: responsible forest management, transparent production processes, and environmental care embedded at every stage.

We also had important discussions about the upcoming PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), which will impact the entire packaging industry and all market participants. This is a crucial time for businesses to prepare for these new requirements and work together on responsible, future-oriented solutions.
